Borussia Dortmund will not be forced into selling Jadon Sancho before the end of the transfer window, according to a report.

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly not be forced into selling Jadon Sancho in the final stages of this summer's transfer window.

Manchester United continue to be linked with the England international, and the team's need for a new right-sided attacker was further demonstrated in their 3-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday night.

The club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has suggested that the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak means that a big-money signing before the end of the transfer window is unlikely.

A recent report claimed that the Red Devils would remain patient in their pursuit of Sancho and hope to force Dortmund into a sale in the build-up to the deadline at the start of October.

However, according to Bundesliga commentator Kevin Hatchard, "there is no prospect" of BVB lowering their valuation, and they could even ask for more than their current €120m (£110m) asking price.

United's only summer signing was on the scoresheet against Palace at Old Trafford, with Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek coming off the bench to register in the latter stages.
