Manchester United must qualify for next season's Champions League in order to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to a report.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho will reportedly join Manchester United this summer, providing that the club secure Champions League football for the 2020-21 campaign.

The Red Devils continue to be heavily linked with Sancho, who scored 20 times and provided 20 assists in 44 appearances for BVB during the 2019-20 season.

The 20-year-old is allegedly keen to join the 20-time English champions, but according to Bild, the move hinges on whether United can qualify for next season's Champions League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are currently fifth in the Premier League table, level on points with fourth-placed Leicester City, while they also have the chance to qualify for Europe's premier competition through the Europa League.

Agreeing a price with Dortmund could be a problem, though, as the German club's sporting director Michael Zorc recently insisted that the youngster would not be leaving on the cheap.

The former Manchester City youngster still has two years left to run on his contract at Signal Iduna Park.
