Manchester City are reportedly prepared to remain patient in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane, who is said to be valued at £160m.

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to play a waiting game as they bid to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

The long-serving forward is said to have informed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy that he wishes to take on a new challenge after failing to win silverware in North London.

While City are known to hold a strong interest in the England international, Levy is allegedly against doing business for anything less than £160m.

However, according to The Sun, the Premier League champions are willing to drag out the saga until the closing days of the summer transfer window.

The report suggests that City will bide their time in the hope that Levy lowers his valuation over the coming weeks.

Nevertheless, Spurs will hope that any delay in an official bid from the Citizens will generate interest from elsewhere, potentially forcing City's hand if they want to win the race for the 27-year-old's signature.
