James Bond scenes 'to be re-filmed for sponsorship reasons'

Key scenes from the new James Bond movie No Time To Die may reportedly have to be re-shot due to the film's delayed release.

The new James Bond movie No Time To Die could be forced into reshoots of several key scenes due to the delays caused by coronavirus.

Daniel Craig's final outing as 007 is now due for release on October 8, almost two years after its original planned release date as a result of production and coronavirus hold-ups.

According to The Sun, the movie contains product placements for mobile phones, watches and other gadgets - although two years down the line, the technology is now out of date and key scenes could be re-filmed in order to incorporate newer models.

"The details of the gadgets and things are all kept tightly under wraps, but everyone knows that James Bond always carries the latest kit with him," a source told the newspaper.

"The problem is that some of those things were the very latest models back when they started filming.

"But by the time the movie comes out now it will look like Daniel Craig and all of the other cast members are carrying something that has been out for ages. That isn't really the point of these deals.

"The big tech firms want the stars to have all the new up-and-coming products to help promote them and sell them to fans.

"It means some of the scenes are going to have to be very carefully edited and looked at to bring things up to date."

No Time To Die was made with a record Bond budget of $250 million (£183 million).
