Watch the moment that Piers Morgan walks off the set of Good Morning Britain after being called "diabolical" by colleague Alex Beresford.

Piers Morgan walked off the set of Good Morning Britain just eight minutes into today's broadcast after being branded "diabolical" by colleague Alex Beresford on air.

On Monday morning's edition of the breakfast show, Morgan was highly critical of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey, casting doubts on many of the things that Markle in particular had claimed.

Giving his take on the situation at the top of today's show, Beresford told Morgan: "I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle, you've made it so clear a number of times on this programme.

"And I understand that you've got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one, and she cut you off. She's entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don't think she has, yet you continue to trash her."

Morgan then announced "I'm done with this" and walked out of the studio as Beresford remarked: "That's pathetic. This is absolutely diabolical behaviour."

Turning to Susanna Reid, he continued: "I'm sorry, but Piers spouts off on a regular basis and we all have to sit there and listen. 6.30 to 7 o'clock yesterday was incredibly hard to watch. He has the ability to come in here and talk from a position where he doesn't fully understand."

Reid then decided to cut to an ad break, with Charlotte Hawkins taking over hosting until Morgan returned to screens 15 minutes later.
