Paul Pogba demanding £600k a week to stay at Manchester United?

Paul Pogba reportedly wants a contract worth £600,000 a week in order to commit his long-term future to Manchester United.

Paul Pogba has reportedly demanded a wage package of £600,000 a week in order to commit his long-term future to Manchester United.

The Frenchman publicly declared over the summer that he wanted a "new challenge" elsewhere following three mixed seasons at Old Trafford.

No move ever materialised, with United holding firm on their £180m valuation of the player amid reported interest from Real Madrid.

According to Tuttosport, Pogba has demanded that United double his current salary as a condition for extending his contract at the Theatre of Dreams.

The 26-year-old's contract expires in 2021, with agent Mino Raiola said to have commenced talks with United over a new deal.

United, who recently granted David de Gea a new bumper deal, have encountered difficulties with wages after their decision to hand Alexis Sanchez £400,000 a week gave other top players justification to demand a similar sum.
