Saturday's Primeira Liga predictions including Vizela vs. Rio Ave

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Primeira Liga fixtures, including Vizela vs. Rio Ave.

Casa Pia vs. Chaves (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Casa Pia will be looking to pick up their first home win since February when they welcome Chaves to the Estadio Pina Manique in round 31 of the Primeira Lila on Saturday.

The Flavienses head into the weekend knowing that they have just four games to salvage their season as they find themselves languishing in the relegation zone, six points away from safety.

We say: Casa Pia 1-2 Chaves

The last four meetings between Casa Pia and Chaves have produced a combined 13 goals and we anticipate another action-packed contest this weekend. Having picked up four points from their last two games, Chaves visit the Estadio Pina Monique with renewed confidence and we are backing them to claim a narrow win.

Vizela vs. Rio Ave (Saturday, 3.30pm)

In arguably their biggest game of the season, rock-bottom Vizela play host to Rio Ave at the Estadio do FC Vizela as they look to snap their losing streak and reignite their late push for survival.

Eight points are between the Vizelenses and safety heading into the final four games of the campaign and failure to win here could bring their three-year stint in the top flight to an end.

We say: Vizela 2-1 Rio Ave

Should Vizela fail to claim victory here and Portimonense and Estrela win their games, their three-year stint in the top flight will come to an end. That said, we expect the Vizelenses to throw the kitchen sink in search of a vial win.

Guimaraes vs. Boavista (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Vitoria de Guimaraes will be looking to snap their three-match winless run and resume their push for European football when they play host to Boavista in round 31 of the Primeira Liga on Saturday.

Os Axadrezados have failed to win any of their last nine visits to the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques since October 2014 and will head into the weekend looking to end this decade-long spell.

We say: Vitoria de Guimaraes 3-1 Boavista

While Guimaraes have suffered a drop-off in form of late, they will fancy themselves against Boavista given their solid home record in this fixture. That said, we are backing Pacheco's men to come away with all three points and continue their push for European football.
