Jose Mourinho reportedly expects Christian Eriksen to leave Tottenham Hotspur after the midfielder made it clear that he would not sign a new contract with the club.

The Dane, whose contract expires at the end of this season, was heavily linked with a move away over the summer.

It was claimed that after becoming Spurs boss, Mourinho would hold private talks with Eriksen to determine the player's mindset.

According to The Telegraph, Eriksen plans to reject any attempt made to keep him at the North London club.

Reports have credited Real Madrid with showing a determination to sign Eriksen, while Juventus and Inter Milan are also said to be interested.

The Spurs hierarchy are reportedly open to sanctioning a deal for Eriksen in January in order to prevent the 27-year-old from leaving for free next summer.
